Yacht Broker - North Vancouver
About 10 years ago, Richard had a vision of starting a brokerage that was obsessed with serving the boating community in a way that really stood out. All it took was truth, honesty and integrity, passion for people and passion for boats. Back then, it was one salesman and one office. Today Calibre has grown to 5 offices and 14 people with expansion plans to add 4 more offices and 8 more salespeople by 2021.
The people that are part of the Calibre team all embrace the same core values that Richard holds dear, and as a result, and by God’s grace, the company continues to grow.
If you have not experienced the Calibre difference yet, he welcomes you to try it and see for yourself why so many customers insist that Calibre Yachts is their brokerage of choice when buying or selling a boat.

Having sailed for over 40-years, I have taken part on many races and cruises on Canada’s three coasts, appreciating the diversity of waters, and the uniqueness of harbourside communities. Throughout my journeys, I have had the opportunity to meet many people, and share a few dockside yarns. To me, yachting is a healthy lifestyle that brings people together while appreciating individual journeys. My love of boats and the sea is further demonstrated through nautical rope work, and the restoration of classic wooden yachts. Such passion is further illustrated throughout Calibre Yachts, and as team, we are able to discuss the needs and dreams of new and existing boaters alike. May you have a safe and happy landfall.

Robert has been an integral part of the Calibre team since 2012. He began his interest in boating at an early age. The passion expanded into crafting and building his first boat at age 15. The years following have taken Robert through numerous, very successful management positions in a variety of industries with a focus on photography, outdoors and design. After moving to Vancouver Island in 2011, the desire to work in the marine industry led him to meet up with Richard Evans, the owner and founder of Calibre Yacht Sales. The opportunity to expand and grow the Nanaimo branch was offered to Robert. Since then he has become one of Calibre’s top salesman. He is now proudly offered the position of opening our new branch in Victoria British Columbia.
Robert’s passion for outdoor adventure, photography, scuba diving and soccer has attributed to his amazing active lifestyle. Robert shares his love for the water and the outdoors with his lovely wife, Sue. Accompanied by their two dogs, LeeLoo, a Cairn Terrier, and Poppy, a Pomeranian, the adventures continue.
Wilderness boating off the waters of Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, Costa Rica and Borneo are a few of the locations their adventurous lifestyle has taken them.
Whether you are buying or selling, we know you will enjoy working with Robert. His love for people, for boats, the outdoors and his caring professional approach has led him to a very successful career with Calibre Yacht Sales.

YACHT BROKER - VICTORIA
Whether working, playing, or living on them, boats have been the focus of most of Trina’s adult life. She’s worked aboard elegant cruise ships, a grungy research vessel, and with the Coast Guard. She’s instructed and certified boaters with their PCOC licence, been a working Divemaster, and wrote a commercial boating manual, and managed several marinas. She and her cat lived aboard a Cal 2-29 sailboat for seven years, and now she lives on a beautiful Island Packet 40 with her husband. Their plan is to go offshore sailing. Meanwhile, they enjoy the spectacular waters that is their own backyard.
Boating, however, is Trina’s number two passion. What matters to her most are relationships. She genuinely cares about and is interested in the people she meets. From her sailing club and the Bluewater Cruising Association to a writer’s group and a photography group, Trina is a strong volunteer in her community. She spent ten months training and then volunteering as a citizen-counsellor. She holds an MSc in social psychology, and has professionally ghost- or co-written several memoirs, honing the skills necessary to listen and really hear what people say.
Given her interests and experiences, Trina is well-positioned to bring people together with boats. She has the kind of passion, trustworthiness, and integrity that one can expect from any of Calibre Yacht’s crew.
