This boat looks a lot like your summer! Grab it now and enjoy some sunshine from the cockpit of a boat that can not only get up on a plane, but you can sail too! Hitch onto the trailer, and tow it to your happy place. Decide if you want to go ripping across the bay to your favourite fishing hole, or if you’d like to leisurely sail on over. Maybe a bit of both. Granted, a sailboat with no sails flying, up on a plane, doing 20 knots looks a little weird, but it’s fantastic fun.
To sail, remove the hard top, raise the mast and attach the boom, then replace the hardtop. Once the boat has been launched, open a hole in the hull and the ballast will fill with water. Drop a dagger board, raise the sails, and voila, you’re a sailboat. Drop the sails, pull up the dagger board, dump the sea water (which can be done in or out of the water), and voila, you’re a powerboat.
Aside from that most unique feature, the MacGregor is a really comfortable boat. This one has cockpit cushions, stern perch seats, you can sleep 5 comfortably, the upholstery looks great, and it’s very, very clean. Also unique to this particular MacGregor is the hardtop dodger. It’s a good place to get out of the sun, has some rigging atop for when sailing, sturdy handholds along the side, and big, beautiful clear windows all around.
Did you notice that it’s trailerable? Read NO permanent moorage needed! No haul-out fees, no massive moorage bills, no barnacles on the prop. Just you and yours, the wind, the water, and possibly a fish.
Call me quick. The sooner you buy this, the sooner you can start your summer.
