This 37’ fibreglass Sedan with a 13’ beam and 6’ draft was originally built in 1989 in Delta, BC by Frostad Boats as a fishing trawler and worked the Skeena River until she was converted to a pleasure craft in 2002.
With her 16000 lb displacement she can reach up to 18knots and provide a solid and safe ride for her passengers in variable sea conditions.
Her solid ½” thick fibreglass hull, painted white, has a semi-displacement with hard chines, vertical stern, raked flared bow and long fibreglass keel is powered by twin Cummins 250hp, 6-cylinder turbo-charged diesel engines.
Walking down the gangway in Silva Bay on Gabriola Island “RESTLESS WIND” sits solid at the dock in a strong northerly blow. It is an easy step onto the aluminum swim grid, from there via the stern cockpit one can either enter the main cabin through a solid aluminum storm door or use the access staircase to the upper flybridge for a beautiful view as well as the upper helm.
Immediately upon stepping into the large open cabin space you will notice large windows, ample seating in both a forward dinette area as well as a very large aft dinette, easily providing seating for six adults. Storage is provided by numerous drawers as well as deep in-floor lockers and under settee bins.
The interior layout is very practical and aesthetically pleasing with all its natural Maple paneling and Mahogany trim which will make you feel warm and comfortable, even on a stormy day especially with Dickinson diesel stove providing a beautiful dry heat.
A very practical laid out galley on the Port side makes you feel right at home,” with large “peninsula” working surface, diesel stove with oven, large windows providing natural light, double stainless-steel sink with the convenience of pressure hot and cold water as well a convenient built in microwave and fridge.
