The Chris Craft 392 Commander is actually the old Uniflite 38 Convertible dressed up in a more stylish package. Chris Craft first marketed this boat in 1985 as the 382 Commander, but this the 392 Commander. Chris Craft engineers redesigned the deckhouse and flybridge resulting in a much-improved profile.
There was a choice of a two-stateroom floorplan or the single, the single-stateroom floorplan with a mid-level galley and oak paneling became the standard. While the Chris 392 is light-years ahead of the old Uniflite in appearance and decor, the well-known seakeeping properties of the original hull were retained. The cockpit is substantial, wide side decks provide safe and secure bow access, and the tournament-style flybridge has the helm aft with bench seating forward. There was a choice of Crusader gas engines and this amazingly beautiful boat has the 375HP Cat diesels in place. Nivarnna will happily cruise at 24-26 knots, why not call to arrange a viewing and see for yourself.
