Golden Touch

Custom-built, MV Golden Touch was completed in 1982. The 13.44 meter (44.09 ft) motoryacht was built to exceptionally high standards. Built by Dereck Verhey, he based his build on the traditional Carvel Hull design, which is used in exploration vessels worldwide. It is the gold standard of the west coast commercial fishing fleet. Using 5/16^th plate steel, Golden Touch is extremely tough. But Golden Touch was designed and built as a personal pleasure vessel, for someone who understood the enjoyment of being behind the helm of a beast. She was built for the Northwest Passage but never got there. This is a true classic west coast trawler design, with the extra advantage of range and strength.
