Monkey Joe

This is quite simply, an amazing boat. This strong, robust, and purposefully built 53 ft yacht was commissioned by its original owner with an uncompromising dedication to things being done right. Taking 5 separate trips to the factory in Taiwan during the build, this yacht was delivered to the highest standard. Incorporating large yacht features in a practical size for easy upkeep and owner operability this example of a Jefferson 53 is unparalleled. Since delivery, she has been kept in a boathouse on Lake Union in freshwater until coming to Canada in the fall of 2020. The current owners have a similar dedication to maintenance and upkeep which is obvious when walking aboard as appears to be almost new.

All systems are extremely well thought out. From stern docking lights to multiple, well-placed side deck doors and purpose build golf club storage, this boat has was engineered for everything to be in its place.

The wide side decks with high rails and Portuguese Bridge provide a very safe and protected space of guests, crew, kids and four legged visitors.

The open upper helm, cockpit remote control, and Wesmar bow thruster allow precision control in tight marinas and anchorages. Navigational gear highlights include radar, forward-looking sonar, and autopiloting via GPS. The custom pilothouse and floorplan allow the skipper unobstructed views of their surroundings and a clear view aft. As well as an efficient cruising speed of 9 knots using 10 gal/hr, the twin Caterpillar C12’s are capable of driving this 53 footer to over 18+ knots when necessary.

It includes top-of-the-line galley appliances, Vacuflush fresh water heads, and a 2020 Planar diesel furnace system ducted to all cabins and heads. Thoughtfully outfitted, beautifully crafted, and maintained, Monkey Joe is everything you could want in a safe, serious, destination pilothouse vessel.
