Irish Mist

“Irish Mist” a Bayfield 32 was introduced in 1973 and with it’s blend of traditional lines and modern construction the boat was very popular from the start because it was designed and built to the highest standards.  Designed by Ted Gozzard and inspired by the work of L. Francis Herreshoff, they are relatively beamy with ample freeboard, broad bilges and shoal draft.  The rudder is attached to a cutaway full keel.  This one, like most, was built as a cutter but is now rigged as a sloop for easier sailing. The rigging is available to return to cutter if desired. The fact that many of these boats are in such fine shape is a testament to their robust construction.

This Bayfield 32 is the perfect example of why there is no excuse not to get out on the water.  This is a very clean, attractive and very well kept family cruiser that will offer many years of drama free sailing.
